Fuji-no-Kuni Declaration of Human Rights
"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood."
Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states the supreme ideal of human society and how we should live.
To achieve this, we will strive to ease the sense of discrimination inherent in many problems concerning human rights and to build a society that respects the human rights of one another.
We will therefore practice the following in our everyday life:
- We will nurture an awareness of not only the human rights of oneself but also those of others with sensitivity.
- We will express interest in the problems of human rights on a regular basis, and will consider them as our own problem and act accordingly.
- We will create opportunities to discuss human rights issues in the home, in the local community, and in the workplace.
- We will accept diversity in personality and be willing to co-exist with different personalities.
